Membership

Redfame Publishing is dedicated to excellence in the development of knowledge-based products and services for the academic, scientific, professional, research, and student communities worldwide. To this end, we have joined many scholarly associations to broaden our mission and knowledge.

1. CrossRef

Date joined: 2012-11-7

CrossRef is an independent membership association, founded and directed by publishers. CrossRef’s mandate is to connect users to primary research content, by enabling publishers to work collectively. CrossRef is also the official DOI® link registration agency for scholarly and professional publications. Our citation-linking network today covers tens of millions of articles and other content items from thousands of scholarly and professional publishers.

CrossRef is a not-for-profit membership association. They provide reference linking among scholarly publishers and other collaborative services. Publishers get many benefits from CrossRef and they must also follow some important rules to ensure our services are persistent, sustainable and fair to all members.

Benefits of CrossRef Membership

– CrossRef DOI links are stable, persistent links that preserve the scholarly citation record.

– Thousands of other publishers and organizations will automatically link to your content, increasing your traffic.

– Your content will be more useful to readers when they can easily link from your references to other relevant articles.

– You can collaborate with other CrossRef members on new technologies.

– You can participate in optional services like CrossRef Cited-by Linking and CrossCheck, a plagiarism screening service.

2. Association of American Publishers (AAP)

Date joined: 2013-3-28

Redfame Publishing has joined the Association of American Publishers and its Professional and Scholarly Publishing (PSP) division.

Three hundred companies are members of the Association of American Publishers. They span all categories of publishing and represent the major commercial, educational and professional companies as well as independents, non-profits, university presses and scholarly societies. They are America’s premier publishers of high-quality entertainment, education, scientific and professional content – dedicating the creative, intellectual and financial investments to bring great ideas to life. They are also at the forefront of publishing technology – delivering content to the world’s audiences in all the ways they seek it.

The members of the PSP division publish, in print and electronic form, the vast majority of materials produced and used by scholars and professionals in science, medicine, technology, business, law and the humanities. These include books, journals, computer software, databases and CD-ROMs.
